Privacy Policy

Wild Hearts Publishing is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
What we collect
We collect the following categories of personal information:
- Name and email address — provided when you create an account or submit a manuscript
- Manuscript file — uploaded by you for editorial review purposes
- Payment information — processed by Stripe on our behalf. Wild Hearts Publishing does not store card numbers, expiry dates, or CVV codes. We receive only a transaction reference and confirmation
- Analytics data — collected with your consent via Google Analytics. This includes pages visited, session duration, and general device/browser type. No personally identifying information is included in analytics data
How we use your information
- To generate your editorial report
- To send report delivery emails and service-related communications
- To improve our service — using aggregated, anonymised data only. Individual manuscripts or identifying details are never used for this purpose
Third parties we work with
We share your information only with the service providers necessary to operate the platform:
- Stripe — payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy governs how they handle your payment data
- Resend — transactional email delivery (report delivery, account notifications)
- Supabase — secure data storage for user accounts and order records
- Anthropic and AI providers — manuscript content is sent to AI systems to generate your editorial report. Manuscripts are processed for this purpose only and are not stored by AI providers beyond the duration of the request. We do not use AI provider features that retain or train on your content
- Google Analytics — website analytics, collected with your consent only
We do not sell your personal information to any third party.
No AI training
Your manuscript is never used to train AI models. Not ours. Not our providers'. It is processed solely to produce your editorial report. This is a firm commitment, not a preference setting.
Data retention
- Manuscripts — deleted from our systems within 90 days of report delivery
- Email addresses — retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion
- Payment records — retained for the period required by Australian tax and financial law
Your rights under the Australian Privacy Principles
Under the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correction of any personal information that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, or misleading
- Complaint — if you believe we have breached the APPs, you may lodge a complaint with us directly, or escalate to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au
