How we use AI — and what we promise you.

Wild Hearts Publishing uses AI technology to deliver faster, more consistent editorial reviews. We believe authors deserve to know exactly how that works.

The Four Commitments

1

We never train on your manuscript.

Your submitted manuscript is used only to generate your editorial report. It is not stored beyond 90 days. It is not shared with third parties for any purpose beyond report generation. It is never used to train any AI model — ours or anyone else's.

2

We disclose AI's role.

Hartley, Oliver, Vera, and Marcus are AI systems. We don't pretend otherwise. Every report tells you which editor reviewed your work and how. There are no human editors behind the curtain — and no fiction that there are.

3

We protect your voice.

Our editors are instructed to identify where your manuscript isn't reaching its own stated goals — not to impose a house style or optimise for commercial conformity. Your book should sound like you. Our job is to help it do that better.

4

You own everything.

Your manuscript, your report, your ISBN, your royalties. Wild Hearts Publishing retains no rights to any work submitted or published through our platform. We are a service. Your work remains entirely yours.

Why we built it this way

Authors' organisations are rightly sceptical of AI in publishing. The industry has seen too many examples of AI used to cut corners, strip author rights, devalue human creative work, or obscure how content is produced. That scepticism is earned and we share it.

We built transparency in from the start because the alternative — pretending AI isn't involved, or burying the disclosure in terms no one reads — is both dishonest and unsustainable. Authors who trust us with their manuscripts deserve to know exactly what happens to them. So we tell them.

Industry alignment

Wild Hearts Publishing is working toward alignment with the standards set by the Alliance of Independent Authors (ALLi) Approved Service programme and the Australian Publishers Association's AI guidelines. We believe these frameworks represent a reasonable and author-protective approach to AI in publishing, and we are committed to meeting them.
